India has witnessed numerous social customs since ancient times. While some traditions have strengthened society, others have deeply harmed its dignity, growth, and potential. These harmful customs are often rooted in blind faith and rigid thinking.
History proves that whenever such evils rise, great individuals emerge to challenge and eliminate them. Practices like the Devdasi system, Sati Pratha, polygamy, and the dowry system have long plagued society.
To eradicate these evils, great leaders such as Rani Lakshmi Bai, Raja Ram Mohan Roy, Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar, Dayanand Saraswati, Swami Vivekananda, Pandit Shriram Sharma Acharya, and Mata Bhagwati Devi Sharma dedicated their lives to social reform, awareness, and education.
The Father of the Indian Constitution, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, also played a vital role in establishing social justice and equality.
Following these ideals, the DIYA family actively works toward eliminating such harmful customs. We envision a society where marriages are based on love, respect, and unity rather than financial transactions like dowry.
Our journey begins with self-transformation and extends to spreading awareness among the masses. We encourage people to question blind traditions and move towards a progressive mindset.
Religion and faith are meant to liberate human consciousness, but unfortunately, they are sometimes used as tools of control. This limits thinking, growth, and freedom.
Our mission is to present religion in its simplest and purest form, helping individuals achieve mental freedom and break free from the chains of harmful customs.
Let us take a pledge together to build a society free from evil customs and move towards a brighter, progressive future.
